Mia Jackson

~ Where do you hail from, and how did you get to the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival?
I’m originally Columbus, GA, otherwise known as the C-town where you get beat down. Actually that nickname isn’t real…I just wanted Columbus to seem more exciting. I currently live in Stone Mountain. I found out about the festival from emails and announcements on different comedy websites. As far as getting to the actual venue…I’m right here in the Metro Atlanta area…so I’m driving my embarrassingly squeaky, but reliable Nissan.

~ Describe your comedic style in 3-5 words.
Silly, Fun and Loud.

~ Describe your fashion style in 3-5 words.
I am not a fashionista.

~ Describe Marshall Chiles (Executive Director of The Laughing Skull Lounge) in 3-5 words.
Supportive of growing comedy in Atl!

~ Should we expect period or childbirth jokes in your performance?
Nope.  There’s so much more to talk about besides those topics…but I do have a fake pregnancy joke…I guess that counts.

~ What do you hope to achieve from your participation in the LSCF?
I want to network with the different comedians.  This is a rare opportunity to have a wide range of comics and comedy styles in Atlanta all at one time.  I also want to be able to show that Atlanta has some great female comics!

~ When and where do you perform in the festival?
Thursday, March 4 at 8pm.  Not sure of the venue yet.
